Privacy

Minato is built to keep photography on your phone. No accounts. No cloud sync. Nothing is uploaded by the app.

What Minato uses

• Camera — to capture photos. Required for the app to work.
• On-device storage — photos and color metadata stay in the app’s local library.
• On-device scene analysis — Apple’s Vision APIs may run on-device to suggest film looks in AUTO. Results do not leave the device.

What Minato does not do

• No account or sign-in
• No analytics or advertising SDKs
• No tracking across apps or websites
• No uploading photos to our servers (we don’t operate a photo backend)
• No selling or sharing personal data

Sharing

If you use the in-app share sheet, you choose where a photo goes (Messages, AirDrop, Photos, etc.). That sharing is handled by iOS and the destination you pick—not by Minato servers.

Widgets

Optional home-screen and lock-screen widgets read photo thumbnails from an on-device App Group shared with the Minato app. That data stays on your device.

Children

Minato does not collect personal information. It is suitable for use without creating an account.

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the new version at this URL.
